A little bit more about me

At my core, I’m a curious person who’s always looking for ways to make life a little better. I believe that with patience and openness, every challenge has a solution. My career path didn’t begin where it ultimately led — I stepped away from advertising early on when I realized it didn’t reflect the work I was meant to do. I’ve always been drawn toward supporting others in meaningful, compassionate ways.

I found my purpose in education. While living in Florida, I worked at Jupiter Elementary School as a Community Language Facilitator, translating for families and assisting Spanish-speaking students in their classrooms. I spent four years in this role, and during that time, I also became a mother and cared for two additional children alongside my son — a period that shaped my understanding of patience, connection, and child development.

After relocating to Canada, I returned to school and earned a diploma in Special Care Counselling. Today, I work as a Special Care Technician at an elementary school, supporting children with special needs, including those with autism, behavioral challenges, and learning disabilities. I find joy in every breakthrough moment, no matter how small, and I consider this work a privilege. Read the article here 👇
